Colony housed in our barrier rooms and are mated, weaned and biopsied for genotyping. Colony inventory is tracked with a web based real-time database. Fee is applied only to handled cages (those that are actively mating, are pregnant or have pups). Non-timed mating cages are charged at half-rate.
Husbandry details

The husbandry service includes all aspects of maintaining mice. Breeding, weaning, mouse monitoring, biopsies, sample collection and data tracking are performed according to a standard operating procedure that has been used for 25 years with excellent results. All information is entered into a commercial web-based database. We also offer ancillary services such as PCR genotyping, drug injections, urine and blood collection, surgeries and dissections. Each experimental colony or group is independently tracked and can be viewed real-time by the investigator. Frequent contact with the investigator is maintained by Email, phone, and Zoom or in-person meetings as required. Husbandry charges are calculated as a cost for each time a cage is handled, and is in addition to per-diem cage costs charged by DCM.
